Swiss Aviation Software: Bringing Quality and Innovation To MRO Processes

Top 10 Aviation Tech Solution Companies - 2021

Despite being synonymous with stalled economies and cancelled events, 2020 was a year of significant technological advancements across the aviation sector. From head-mounted thermal scanning devices to robots to technology-supported social distancing measures, new technologies have seeped into airports and changed the passenger experience.

Artificial intelligence, for one, is personalizing, optimizing, and upscaling the digital interactions between airlines and passengers. AI and ML applied to the passengers’ social sentiment helps airlines curate their services as per the needs and demands of the passengers.

Coupled with AI and ML, big data enables airlines to predict and forecast consumer behavior in order to fine-tune their strategy. On the other hand, biometric technologies such as facial recognition, fingerprint authentication, and retinal scanning are gaining prominence as the default method of verification. With the integration of biometric systems for border control, on-boarding, airport check-ins, and migration formalities, the entire verification process has become paperless. In the near future, this will further extend to the baggage claim process, allowing passengers to keep real-time track of their luggage.

Software such as passenger flow management provides real-time passenger monitoring and actionable insights enabling airlines to manage passenger movement throughout the airport. Furthermore, innovation in software-defined networks (SDN) is enabling more resilient and agile airport operations. The introduction of biometric facial recognition technology enhances the user experience by allowing passengers to use their face as a boarding pass, minimizing the need for contact as the passenger journeys through the airport.

Highlighting these new developments in the aviation sector, APAC CIO Outlook has compiled a list of leading aviation tech solution providers in the APAC region that are at the top of their game. The enlisted organizations are changing things for the better at the convergence of several disruptive technologies. Besides, the magazine also comprises insights from thought leaders in the sector on the industry trends, best practices, recent innovations, and their advice for aspiring CIOs.
